Project intandem
About us
We are a production platform that creates & produces high- calibre contemporary dance works. In 2017, we were in a landscape of few opportunities, so we forged ahead by creating our own... and Project InTandem was born! We dance, we choreograph and produce the show. In the art world, some have dubbed us as the “yin & yang duo” or “the women who can do it all”
Our productions feature mixed programming, insightful branding, engaging choreography and design elements, vast audiences, and a large team of emerging artists.
Long term we see ourselves as one of the few national companies that provide consistent opportunities for Calgary artists to stay here, as well as provide touring opportunities.
UP NEXT
Currently, Project InTandem is working on an evening length work created by Meghann Michalsky called Exile. This innovative work promises to captivate audiences with its dynamic choreography, thought-provoking themes, and unique artistic vision. Stay tuned for ticket launch!
Exile explores Michalsky’s primal and rigorous movement signature, acrobatic partnerwork as well as new research into mass unity, euphoric groove and euphoric riot.
What our dancers are saying
“Project InTandem is a platform that feels crucial for Calgary’s exposure to physical contemporary dance (audiences & artists). The collective of artists that came together to create this show has grown over this process and the bonds and trust between us are what cultivates good and risky art-making. The more we can do - the more the community can be exposed to.”

“The length of rehearsal time that was provided was well needed, the time off allowed me to marinate the movement and structure which helped me gain more confidence in the process.” “Audiences truly loved the show and I found they were wanting to talk about it without me having to ask!”

What our audience is Saying
“I was so engaged I couldn’t even eat my popcorn.”
— audience member from Canmore 2023 tour
This is one of the best Contemporary dance shows I've seen by an Alberta Dance Artist in my time at the Centre. The show also takes you to a sensorial place and makes you feel something, and that is a rare occurrence maintaining this level of physicality."
— Nick Beach, General Manager, Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre
“I only curate highly trained and physical dance works and your works fall into that category.”
